  • The search is over! We have a new Rector

 A brief review of what's happened so far in our Search

  • A offer was made to our candidate. It was accepted and the Bishop approved it on November 4th
  • The Vestry began discernment with our selected candidate once they heard from Bishop Stokes that he was still interested in becoming Rector of Holy Trinity
  • The Vestry voted on a candidate to present to the Bishop. The Bishop will contact the Candidate to determine if they are interested in continuing their discernment with Holy Trinity
  • The Discernment committee met with the Vestry on October 24th to present the list of approved candidates
  • The Discernment committee received the Bishop's approval to present the selected candidates to the Vestry
  • The Discernment committee has completed the initial interviews with our list of approved candidates
  • The renovation of the rectory is complete and will be available for inspection within a week or so
  • The Discernment committee has reviewed the candidates documentation presented by the diocese and met in early September to review their impressions, rate the candidates and began scheduling interviews
  • The Discernment committee met with Cecilia on August 18th and received a list of vetted candidates
  • The Parish Profiles were completed and we are now 'officially' ready to receive applications for our new Rector
  • The Discernment committee and members of the Vestry attended the required anti-racism training
  • The Discernment Committee completed the Parish Profiles, they were approved by the Vestry and have been submitted to the Diocese
  • The final Cottage Meeting was held following the All Church Brunch on Sunday May 1st
  • The Discernment Committee continues to meet and perform Cottage Meetings debriefings
  • A Congregational Conversation was held after both services on April 24 to discuss the discernment process and continue the dialog about what we consider vital factors in the life and mission of Holy Trinity Church
  • The Youth Cottage Meeting was held after 10 AM service on April 24
  • The Discernment team met with Cecilia Alvarez-Martin, the Canon on Transition Ministry and Jeff Kirk, the Transition Consultant on April 18 to discuss our profile and to plan the search process.
  • Six Adult Cottage Meetings, the first step of our discernment process, were scheduled and began on Sunday, February 28
  • The Discernment Committee was selected and installed on Sunday February 28
  • The Discernment Process was put on hold until February to allow us time to get acquainted with our interim rector and to prepare for the holidays
  • The Vestry has hired an Interim Rector who will begin the second sunday in November
  • The Rectory Renovation committee has been organized and has begun their assessment of the rectory
  • The Vestry has begun organizing tasks for our Discernment process
  • Other supply clergy include the Rev's. David Laquintana and Claire Fischer-Davies
  • We celebrated our first "post Ed" Eucharist with the Rev. Terry O'Connor
  • Fr. Ed's farewell celebration was held at Carolina Blue
  • Fr. Ed's celebrated his last service at Holy Trinity
  • Readiness Assessment was conducted and we receive approval to begin our Discernment
  • Supply Priests have been scheduled until we hire Interim Clergy
  • Plans for a Celebration of Fr. Ed's ministry at Holy Trinity were begun
  • The Readiness Assessment was scheduled
  • The Bishop and the Canon for Transition met with the Vestry
  • The Vestry accepted his resignation and notified the Diocese
  • Fr. Ed submitted his resignation to the Vestry
