Worship

Regular Services

Our regular worship centers on the Eucharist, and we use the services from the Book of Common Prayer. There are two services on Sunday morning – 8:00 a.m., which uses traditional language and has no singing; and 10:00 a.m., which uses contemporary language. Music is an integral part of the worship at the 10:00 service.

In addition, Holy Trinity holds joint worship services on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. with Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in Wenonah. Holy Trinity hosts the services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. There is a full Eucharist at each service.

The majority of the music sung at Holy Trinity comes from the Episcopal Hymnal 1982. We supplement that with our songbook, the red binder in the pews, which draws from a variety of sources. Songs that are familiar to Roman Catholics, Protestants, and Pentecostals are found throughout. Communion is open to all baptized Christians, regardless of denomination or age.

Children are welcome and encouraged to receive communion. However, we believe in the right of a parent to make the decision as to when their child receives. If you would prefer them to receive a blessing, the proper form is to fold the arms across the chest.

Holy Days

Additional services will be offered on Holy Days. Check the calendar for current service times.

Sacraments

Baptisms

Anyone seeking baptism for their child or themselves must speak with Father Zelley. Private baptisms are rarely done and are not encouraged. We believe baptism is the entrance into the Christian Community and therefore the community needs to be present. Holy Baptism is especially appropriate at the Easter Vigil, the Day of the Pentecost, the Sunday after All Saints and on the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord. Baptisms are also scheduled on other Sundays as well.

Weddings

Wedding

Those wishing to be married at Holy Trinity should speak with Father Zelley about specific guidelines and requirements.

Funerals

Memorial Garden

We believe that Christians are properly buried from the Church.  In the unfortunate event of a death, Father Zelley should be notified immediately so that a burial service may be scheduled.
