Join us the first Sunday in Advent/December (12/01) after our 10 AM service for our annual tradition of making Advent Wreaths! We'll provide everything you need.
Advent Wreaths are a traditional aid for private devotion during the season of Advent (the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas). Each Sunday, a new candle is lit to mark the movement towards Christmas. Traditionally the candles have symbolized a number of things. The popular usage these days has the candles representing Hope, Joy, Love & Peace. An older tradition in the church has the four candles represent the Four Last Things--Death, Judgment, Heaven & Hell.
However you observe this liturgical season, do it with an Advent Wreath that you can make this Sunday!
