Throughout the month of July, kickstart your Christmas spirit and the season of giving by participating in our "Christmas in July" fundraiser!
In the spirit of the holidays, a Christmas tree will be beautifully decorated and displayed in the narthex. Adorned with ornaments, each represents a special "gift" you are invited to give to Holy Trinity. And to celebrate the generosity of our congregation, join us on July 30 at 9 AM, between the two services, for a delightful Christmas Sing-a-Long and a festive, holiday-themed Coffee Hour! We'll turn up the AC, so don't hesitate to dig out that ugly Christmas sweater and celebrate with us!
Each ornament comes with a suggested donation of $65 (yes, we know it's a bit steep, but we'll explain below). Of course, any gift, no matter the amount, given from the heart in support of our church and community, is highly appreciated! Feel free to take more than one for the whole family. We'll bless them this Sunday (July 9)!
Now, why do we need a fundraiser? We have been blessed once again by a generous grant from the Flowers Fund Foundation, covering the cost of much-needed repairs to our building. We received $10,000 to address the damage caused by water, bugs, and other unknown factors, specifically focusing on the facia (the wood around the roofline and under the gutters). The project also addresses other identified issues with the building.
To fix the damage and prevent future occurrences, we must replace the gutters on the church side of the property. The cost of replacing the gutters and installing gutter guards amounts to approximately $6,000, beyond the grant we received from the Flowers Fund. While we have allocated some money annually for maintenance, there remains a need of around $4,000 to successfully complete the project.
By participating in our "Christmas in July" fundraiser, you not only get to experience the joy of the Christmas Spirit but also play a crucial role in protecting and preserving our cherished church. Your support and generosity will help us finalize this project and replace the gutters, ensuring the longevity of our beloved church for years to come.
